Our Story

Growing up in South Africa has ignited my deep-seated passion for uplifting individuals and communities from an early age. This drive has been further fueled by my experiences traveling, working, and living abroad, where I witnessed first hand the impact of poverty on parts of South Africa. The urgency to address issues like hunger, especially amplified during the Covid-19 pandemic, inspired me to establish Fingertips of Africa, a non-profit organization dedicated to tackling food insecurity while empowering individuals through skills development. To date, our NPO has proudly provided over 3 million meals, generated thousands of jobs, and paved the way for countless brighter futures.

My work at Fingertips of Africa led me to witness first hand the lack of job opportunities within South Africa. Motivated by this revelation, YL Virtual Assistance and YL Remote were born with a dual purpose: to provide valuable services to international clients while simultaneously spearheading job creation initiatives within South Africa. Our mission is to bridge the gap between global demand and local talent, fostering economic growth and empowerment within our communities.

With a career spanning over 14 years in corporate and high-tech industries, I’ve honed my skills in sales, marketing, and project management, ultimately leading to a pivotal role as COO. Throughout my journey, I’ve successfully overseen teams of 150+ staff members, emphasizing the importance of effective communication, meeting deadlines, and meticulous attention to detail in task execution. My diverse experience equips me with a keen eye for optimizing operations and driving business success.
